Post Gender

The exhibition is postponed, we don’t know when yet when we will be able to unroll it at the earliest in September at the latest early 2021.

We are all full of intersecting regimes of signs which at once categorize us and are used by us to categorize others. These languages and the terminologies they employ are taken for granted but shouldn’t be. With these languages we cast a naming gaze across the world; at times, binding it into certain structures of thought like dogmas or stereotypes.

Open Call for artists:

“Gender is a silent dictatorship. and like race  is visible or made visible. There is a difference between gender and sex. Sex is the biological differentiation and gender is what you perform.”

“The feminist movement was the biggest movement of the 20th century. It began with the fact that women would wear trousers. In Paris we will call them the “garconnes” it would allow them access to positions taken by men, it was not just more practical it was a political statement and the symbol of the Mad years. 100 years later we want to reinvent this movement.  Because for the last 100 years the society has never been as open and as closed at the same time. Even now women are wearing trousers but the gender gap is still huge in many fields, when will we see men wearing dresses and make up?”
